Transforming river waste into valuable resources through recycling, circular systems, and community participation.
River Recycle is EdEn’s initiative to address river pollution through a circular economy approach. Instead of treating waste as an end problem, the project focuses on recovering, segregating, and recycling waste collected from river systems.
Working with local authorities, waste handlers, and recycling partners, the initiative establishes structured processes for collection, sorting, and reuse of materials such as plastics and other non-biodegradable waste. Community engagement and awareness programs ensure that citizens understand the impact of waste on river ecosystems and the importance of responsible disposal.
By linking river cleanup efforts with recycling infrastructure and livelihood opportunities, River Recycle creates an economically viable and environmentally sustainable model. The project demonstrates how river conservation can move beyond cleanup to long-term systemic solutions.
Waste removed from rivers can become a resource when systems are designed responsibly.
